shes got a little nissan note with a tinny FM stereo, sounds rubbish. she likes listening to deezer on her phone, and sometimes connects it to a bluetooth speaker in the house which has a decent chunky sound.
yes, we could just take the speaker into the car, but its probably a bit too big to wedge anywhere.
i was wondering if theres anything 'car specific' that would sound ok. so, we can forget aux, as itd bypass the stereo and use its own 'better' speaker, but ideally it could stay charged from the fag lighter. maybe even a double fag adapter so phone and speaker could be on charge at same time?
does this 'thing' exist?
thanks
Just get another one for the car
Agreed. Just get something like this:

And one of those anti-slip mats like this on the dash:

Battery life is usually about 20hrs, so just bring it in the house to charge it once a week to save cables being everywhere.
Car specific
Would that be like changing the car speakers and head unit for something that doesn't sound tinny ?

I was going to suggest that, but I am guessing OP is trying to do things on the cheap.
If it was me, I would work with what is in the car, but it's going to be more money than shoving a BT speaker in there.
Depends why it's tinny.
I put a 25 quid set of speakers in and a cassette tape adaptor. Worked fine for me.
Maybe the DSP/EQ sittings have been messed with?
thanks for the replies
it sounds tinny just cos its a cheapo unit i reckon. had a look at the settings and online but everything points to just being a bit rubbish really.
not sure how long she'll keep the car for, and i was thinking head units these days need proper tools and more money chucking at them, so this just seemed a possible easier solution.
the unit she uses is an anker like that one (model 3143).

[/img] just taken it out to the car to see how it looks. yep, itd do the job on an anti-slip mat i reckon, but itd be better if i could find a smaller one thatd 'fit and forget' (until recharge of course) in one of the little cubbyholes in there (wouldnt want somethings like that permanently on display)
theres 3 possible holes, either 40mm X 150ish, 30mm X 160mm, or 70mm X 60mm. ill have a trawl on the net, see if i can see anything small enough, but itd need to have a chunky sound too.
thanks 🙂
Could use one of those Jam/Beetron cylinder shaped ones in a cup holder?
