Our charity has meetings where half of the people are remote and half are in the room.
In the room we use and pass around a phone but sound at both ends is not great.
Just looking at Bluetooth microphones like this, but wondering what the dongle thing is that plugs in to the phone.
We also tried an external speaker last night but the phone was not clever enough to stop feedback with an external speaker. Any thoughts.
We are in a room with no audio aids.
We have a Jabra 510 speakerphone in our team as we travel around to differing depots that don't all have audio conferencing facilities. It's amazing, we've even used it in rooms that have been professionally fitted out as it's quite often much better than the installed stuff.
we use that jabra thing too
Thanks.
I'll suggest it to them
Yep, Jabra 510 is the thing to have. Can be used either connected by USB or Bluetooth to a computer with Teams, Zoom, etc. or by Bluetooth to a phone. Mics and background noise cancellation are excellent.
i switched to one early in covid because I got sick of using a headset at home, and I’ll never go back.
I was at a presentation with a Q+A session recently, and they were using something that looked very much like this:

I can't be sure if it was exactly that though, but very similar. Seemed to work very well.
