So, over ear headphones still work so it isn't the phone (iphone 13) Existing cheap running headphones stopped working in the right ear, ho-hum; 18 months of use out of a £20 pound pair seems almost acceptable now. New pair arrive and they won't play through the right either. I have tried disconnection and reconnecting to no avail, any suggestions on a fix? As said, other headphones work. Thanks.

Are they, and their storage box fully charged?

I had that with my older ones recently, but giving them all a full charge and leaving them on charge a while seems to have sorted it. Unless it was just some coincidence.

Is there a 'mono' setting in Settings?

check if the none working one is flashing trying to connect to bluetooth, its not uncommon for them to desync .  The instructions will tell you how to sync them back together.

I've had it with Powerbeats Pro - one side wasn't charging properly in it's case

And with Sony WF-1000XM4's - needed re-setting.

Here are some tips, but you can probably rule a couple out straight away

Bluetooth earbuds use built-in batteries to operate. Low battery power on one earbud can cause it to stop working unless you recharge it.

Pairing issues can cause one side of Bluetooth earbuds to stop working. You only need to unpair and re-pair both earbuds to restore their functionality.

A single Bluetooth earbud might fail to produce sound because of dust and grime. Always clean your earbuds regularly to remove gunk, wax, dirt, and debris.

Bluetooth earbuds automatically connect and work together when you set them up for the first time. Resetting the earbuds can help restore the connection and fix the problematic earbud.

One side of your Bluetooth earbuds might not work because of an audio imbalance on the source device. Go to audio settings to balance and adjust the volume level of each earbud.

I'm guessing battery or sync issues. Your over ear will be working as they'll be hard wired between the cans

Check that firmware is up to date, check that OS on phone is up to date. Full discharge and recharge.

Bluetooth is well known for being a bugger with updates etc.
