I've been happily using a set of Bluetooth earphones for over two years. They are quite decent quality (Onkyo E700BT) and when the left piece stopped working a couple of days ago I felt that my life is falling apart.. 😉
I contacted Ritcher Sounds to see if they can repair it, but in the reply they said they would not and that they don't know if anyone would undertake this task.
Shall I bin the Onkyos and buy a new pair, or does anyone know of any place/person that could fix them? If it is actually economically sensible (I paid about £130 for them).
Cheers!!!
It would largely depend on why they have stopped working. If it is a dry joint or something a TV repair centre or Onkyo themselves my repair them but if it is a chip or component failure and they are out of warranty then you will likely be binning them and buying something new.
Had a pair of Wired AKG headphones that failed on one ear, upon inspection was just a broken soldered joint to one of the speaker wires, 5mins with a bit of solder and a Iron and all good again.
Its worth having a look inside them as you dont really have much to lose at the mo.
Try contacting your local Amateur Radio club. Lots of those boys are good at electronic stuff, making, repairing etc.
