I don't think it's meant to be a political commentary. And anyway, when did two vehicles and some Hesco count as "well equipped"?

Accept it for what it is - squaddie humor; it's pretty accurate in that regard, too.

I can't speak for him on the absolute outrage that may be felt by watching Allo Allo, but it is a complete outrage that this sort of outrage is allowed to happen.

An outrage I tell you!

Re run of series 1 on council telly

eh it's on BBC1 - surely Sky is council telly - that's why all the council houses have satellite dishes

I'd strongly recommend avoiding Blackadder 4th, making light out of the misery of trench warfare.

I didn't realise it was was a re-run, so what delights do we have in store for the rest of the episodes, prisoner abuse? one of the happy squaddies goes a bit mad and shoots civilians?

maybe they could do a second series where the squaddies come home and struggle to adapt to civilian life. The opportunities for humour are endless!

If you had actually watched rather than being outraged you would have noticed that alot of it isn't attempting to be funny, its a sitcom about a close knit team and an attractive padre and how they interact with each other.

Its not laugh out loud funny but it has its moments and there are also moments which really make you stop and think.

Clearing a booby trapped car left In a street for anyone to be killed by... no humour there and no attempt made.

Or do you prefer mentally unstable hotel owners?
