I reckon they probably are, prices not daft, Euro is strong, pics are genuine, not the usual fake crap.

If it is counterfeit stuff it's very well done.

You could drop Oakley a email and find out if they are a authorised seller.

Its the racing jacket with prism trail lenses I was looking at. Pretty sure the ones I've seen also come with clear lenses but these ones from bluenty don't according to the email I just had. Still, clear lenses are not that expensive. Still waiting to hear back from Oakley eu as to whether or not they're a recognised dealer.

Clear lenses are more than they used to be if you get proper Oakley ones.

I got a nasty shock when I replaced my Radar ones a few months ago, think they were £55, used to be more like £30.

What about athleteshop.co.uk? That's the next best price and includes the clear lenses.

As for fake vs gen, I'll be able to tell as I've got a few gens and a few fakes - they look identical and the oakley lens fit the fake frames. But the materials are different and feel cheaper compared to the gens, plus the lens are no where near as good (okay though for the price you can get them for)

No sign yet but its a bit early as theyre not uk based.

If you send pics to Oakley they can can confirm whether they are fake or not.

I plan to compare them to my existing Jawbones. Fingers crossed there's no difference.

So, a response from Oakley. Bluenty are not an authorised dealer. Checking this with bluenty, they say they don't claim to be an authorised dealer but they are a genuine dealer. So, today's question is, how do you get to be an unauthorized dealer?

Onzadog - they may just be buying stock from an authorised reseller in bulk or doing grey imports from somewhere cheaper.

You could always try to be cheeky and get someone else to price match. I got some Jawbreakers as I smashed my other riding glasses and ended up getting alltricks.fr to match against a website I found with them cheapish but that I didn't know nor entirely trust.

Not yet, they said seven to ten days.

Ordered a pair of Flak Jackets with Prizm Trail lenses a couple of weeks ago before I saw this thread. Arrived today. Look genuine. Came with hard case and soft bag and spare nose grip rubbers, all in an Oakley box. Prizm lens makes everything look happy!

They were dispatched Friday it seems.

And a box has arrived today. However, I need to change the bed linen and put some in to wash, then vacuum upstairs before I open it!

Well, if they are fake, they're the most convincing fake I've ever seen. The box feels like quality card and there's even a serial number in the flap of the box. Case feels genuine although the lining feels slightly better than my old jawbones. The lens removal instructions are there, as is the warranty registration card. Again, feel like they're printed on quality card. They've also come with spare nose pieces, spare icons for the arms and a retaining strap. The bag feels the same, has lens pockets and the same graphics. The label is a bit smaller and says made in Cambodia rather than my old one that says made in China. Spare clear lenses are there. Lens in engrave with "prism" at the bottom with a prism trail sticker on the lens. The model number is printed inside one arm and is clear and sharp, the other side has racking racket moulded into it.

Any experts know any other clues I should be looking for?

By clip, do you mean the plastic Oakley branded moulding on the zip pull? If so, there is, and it looks identical to my old case.

I saw some on there I wanted last month but it seemed to be too good to be true so I held off, be interested to follow this and hopefully everything is ok

Have you got some originals to compare to? My fake jawbones look identical, and if I didn't have originals as well I wouldn't be able to tell. The plastic and rubber feels and smells ever so slightly different. The real give away for mine was the lenses, but as I was using original lenses it didn't matter.

Watching this thread closely too. I find the sheer choice with Oakley confusing - what's a good set of oakleys for off road riding in and out of woods, ie where light tends to suddenly be quite weak and being able to see detail important? The cheapies that I've always used to-date have been useless for thus (like those reactolite glasses when you walk in side a building in a bright day and stumble into everything!!).

I own some jawbones that are a few years older so smells isn't really a clue and there have been some tweaks but those match current photos of them.

Just to be a cynic here but have you seen how good fake Nikes are. The youtube videos make me cringe how real and copied to the max (pun intended) they are.

I sent Bluenty an email asking when they expected to send them, response stated
"As we continue the same, yet the manufacturer indicates model availability date requested by you, so you can not say a certain date"

Not too sure what this means, something has been lost in the translation I think!
Seems they are having supply issues, going to ask for a refund I think as doubtful they will ever appear!

You'll be surprised how far the fakers/Chinese go these days.
I report a lot of fakes on ebay, and quite a few have boxes, receipts and all paperwork that genuine ones come with, but they usually always screw up on small details which make them pretty obviously fake if you know what to look for.

The cheap and nasty hard case is usually the most obvious one.

Unless things have changed, if you register on the Oakley website you can use it to check serial nos etc.

Mine took a while to arrive. Bluenty don't claim to be genuine Oakley dealers but they do claim that they sell genuine Oakleys.

Be interested to see if you can still check serial numbers.

Those who have experienced slow shipping from Bluenty, could you let me know if this is typical or if I should be chasing it. Item shipped on the 6th, made it as far as Belgium and seems to have sat there for 5 days now;

Just had a quick shufti at bluenty.com and the first sunnies I spotted were some I was looking at in Sunglass Hut in Bath this afternoon, RayBan Clubmans; £68 against £128 in Bath. That's a hell of a saving!
I'll be checking out Oakleys as well, I fancy some Flackjackets.

I wear Oakleys have done for years, what's an L 200?

Kevins custom Oakleys were posted Friday from US. Arrived this morning at work just in time for our Alps trip. They do look nice and first impressions of the Prizm lens are very good.

Mine were finally shipped yesterday, tracking on GLS shows them in Seville so we will see how long it takes. I am expecting 10-15 days. Altogether this will have taken this order nearly 7 weeks (ordered 7th June), not impressed, they better be genuine!!

Sliver's arrived today, pretty sure they are genuine, paperwork looks decent and pouch looks like my M Frame one in quality. Long wait though, not sure it justified the cost saving from UK supplier.

My Holbrooks arrived today. Orderd on 3 July. Seem legit. Saved me just over 50%.

Sorry only just seen this (and see your glasses have turned up). I actually emailed them and to be fair they got back to me very quickly with the explanation that is was due to the channel tunnel chaos at the time which seems like a fair enough excuse.

So what's the consensus? Sounds like they are legit if a little slow on delivery.

Close to putting an order in, anyone had any confirmation from Oakley that they are fine? All the sku numbers seem to match up, photos identical to the oakley UK website and original prices tally so seems accurately.. Been bitten recently so trying to make sure this is legit before I hit 'buy'!
