Seems as if a lot of 40 plus women and some men are getting their coloured blue or purple of other abstract colours, thinking about it myself, would it affect your social interaction with a 14 stone 6 foot 3 mountainbiker with purple hair.

That depends.

Do you wear a helmet?

Do you mean a blue rinse? Technically yes, women over 40 get that, but more accurately they're women over 60, normally...

It's the chavvy women around here have bright purple streaks in their hair at the moment. Bright red dyed hair is also quite commonplace.

What happened, Ernie? You used to be so subtle.

Not me mate, I don't do subtle. Besides I assume that it was the predictable response which project was looking for, no ?

whats that mean

It means that I would take "a 14 stone 6 foot 3 mountainbiker with purple hair" for a bit of a **** (I don't do swear filter avoidance) And HTH means "hope that helps".

Because other people are doing it doesn't make it a good thing to do. If you feel it necessary to express your individuality by following the crowd, then don't let us stop you. You could save time and run around shouting 'LOOK AT ME, I'M DIFFERENT!' everywhere you go and create the same effect.

Alternatively, it could look kinda cool.

Go for it, I say. You're only middle-aged once.

People who don't think they're interesting enough needing a talking point or a way to stand out?
Or just everyone wanting to be individual.

Not sure. At 15-21 - sure, go for it.
