Why do I get nose bleeds at this time of the year when I'm exercising hard?
Was on for a cracking commute time last night, averaging >23 mph... perservered sniffing and spitting out blood for about 8 miles and then felt pretty dizzy.
What's going on... any clues?
Infection resulting in inflammation.
high blood pressure.
I was wondering if it could be hayfever related... irritated by pollun or something as it was almost exactly this time last year I was getting them?
Blood pressure is low if anything.
bad aids
Barometric pressure ?
I get nosebleeds when there is a warm dry wind. Rare in Scotland, but got sent home from a few summer holidays in Christchurch as a kid due to persistent nosebleeds.
nose bleeds and dizzyness = high bp, ask you doctor.
Bloody nose bleeds
I see what you did there.
Ton - My BP is alright. Dizziness was more to do with exercise and struggling with breathing.
I just hope it's not cat aids.
tsy, are you sure? 😉
If it's a common thing you should be able to get some nose drops prescribed for it I think, which should help.
Go and see GP, get referred to ENT casualty clinic, get nose welded shut. End of problem.
A number of reasons why you get them more at this time of year, on top of all the other reasons for nose bleeds.
Pollen - irritant, leading to inflammation of nasal mucosa
Hot - blood vessels in nose dilate to help get rid of heat as you breath out therefore bigger and more likely to bleed
Bad Aids - more prevalent in summer
