A TROO PAYTREERT WOOD STAY AND FITE.
Mr Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon,
Why does every single article about this clownshoe have to mention this? It's not even true is it, it's his previous name? Bizarre.
I wonder how long it'll be before Spain deports him.
I'm sure his patriotic friends will be gifting their dole money to hom to fund his next £950k house....
I’m sure his patriotic friends will be gifting their dole money to hom to fund his next £950k house….
...and his epic coke habit, that shit doesn't come cheap you know?
The online version of the Oxford English Dictionary now has a link to this article, as the definition of irony.
I don't think he changed his name legally did he?
It's also worth reminding people that he's picked a new name to sound more appealing to people who don't like stuff wot sounds foreign.
And it probably annoys the crap out of him to the point that the repeated stress reduces his lifespan by a couple more heartbeats.
Why does every single article about this clownshoe have to mention this?
Because apparently he doesn't like it and who can blame a journalist for doing things Y-L doesn't like.
I don’t think he changed his name legally did he?
The only thing you need to do to change your name legally is to start using it everywhere. If it says Thomas Q Robinson Esq. on his bank statements and passport then that's what his name is. (Whether it does or not I've no idea.)
Because apparently he doesn’t like it and who can blame a journalist for doing things Y-L doesn’t like.
Fair point.
Why does every single article about this clownshoe have to mention this? It’s not even true is it, it’s his previous name? Bizarre.
Main reason is probably because it really annoys him.
Secondly, its also true. He hasn't changed his name, just chose to informally use another one.
some articles even list the other 4 or 5 names he has been known as in the past.
(all normal law abiding people have 6 or 7 names don't they ?)
Well he was caught trying to use a passport with the name Andrew McMaster so does that make it his legal name?
The only thing you need to do to change your name legally is to start using it everywhere.
Really?
In scotland you merely have to start using the name IIRC. I thought in england there was a formal process
The only thing you need to do to change your name legally is to start using it everywhere.
That's not my understanding... I could call myself Mr Two Dogs but I'd need to apply for deed poll to get many official documents like a passport or driving licence.
Whatever...he's still an obnoxious little toad
Yup, anywhere it's deed poll to do it straight away whilst in Scotland you can use the name for long enough and then adopt it formally.
You can do a statutory declaration too, just need it notarised by a solicitor. In England at least.
You can't make this stuff up. I don't recall Stevo YL campaigning for the immigration rights of persecuted foreign criminals to come and live here.
The man has been repeatedly convicted of serious crimes of dishonesty, fraud and violence that would basically preclude ever getting into any non EU country.
Why does every single article about this clownshoe have to mention this?
You know when someone gives you a new nickname, don’t, whatever you do say that you hate it, because that is then all you will ever be called for the rest of your life
The rest of us sussed that out at primary school
He’s clearly never been a bright lad 😂
Why does every single article about this clownshoe have to mention this?
Presumably because S Y-L doesn't sound very 'one of the lads' and the papers like to remind folk of that.
Presumably once the transition period is over he will require a visa which I bet is not given because of all his convictions and the fact he has no job.

Brilliant summary!
I always thought it was ironic that someone so overtly racist was successfully charged with contempt of court for videoing defendents, who happened to be of South Asian heritage, entering a court building during their trial for grooming and sexual exploitation of young girls, thereby potentially causing the trial to collapse. The guy really is a grade 1 bellend!
Will he campaign to get himself sent home?
I could call myself Mr Two Dogs but I’d need to apply for deed poll to get many official documents like a passport or driving licence.
No you wouldn't.
A deed poll is a convenient way of proving it, but there's no legal requirement for such a thing.
https://www.legalnature.co.uk/guides/how-to-legally-change-your-name-in-the-uk
There is no government agency in the UK which has responsibility for registering identification. Names can be freely changed, and a deed poll is a document that can be used to provide proof that a person has chosen to be identified by a different name. The courts have clearly stated that enrolling a deed poll is not a legal requirement (Re PC (Change of Surname) [1997] 2 FLR 730).
Is there any way, while he's out of the country, that we can strip him of his British citizenship?
It's not like there's no precedent for that sort of thing now and I'm sure SYL was all in favour last time. All we need is for him to engage in some sort of extremism whilst overseas...
The press get it a bit wrong with his name. The standard form should be,
'Mr Stephen Yaxley Lennon, also known as Tommy Robinson...'
That'd piss him off more.
Well the weathers nice over there and it’s a cheaper cost of living.
He’d get a nice house with a swimming pool and some privacy, it’s a bit like all the brexiters who move abroad.
Probably best to get there prior to the end of the transition as well.
He’d also get free beers when he goes to karaoke evenings from the other patriots.
It's almost like when high ranking members of the KKK get caught in a car being serviced by a 6' 5" black transsexual prostitute called Sh'niqua
He's going to be raging when he hears people speaking foreign at him when all he wants is egg and chips.
Considering all the married people on there, there's a suprising lack of knowledge about changing of names 😆
You couldn't make it up!!
Also, from the article - who knew this was a thing?! Sounds like the groups of kids that formed occasionally at my primary school. The novelty usually wore off quickly and they disappeared in a couple of days...

You’ll be surprised to hear that changing you name for a marriage doesn’t require a deed poll as it’s done by registry.
Because apparently he doesn’t like it and who can blame a journalist for doing things Y-L doesn’t like.
That's good enough for me. They should also mention his list of convictions as it would be wrong to forget he was a fraudster and possibly think him a nonce as well when that is yet to be proven.
Has no-one noticed his conspiracy theorist’s t-shirt? Covid-1984... yeah, makes ya fink dunnit. 🤪
makes ya fink dunnit
I only think one thing when I hear anything about Wee Stevie Yakkers-Lenners. It rhymes with 'front'.
A long, narrow flat-bottomed boat, square at both ends and propelled with a long pole, used on inland waters chiefly for recreation? Odd association there, but it takes all sorts.

I'm just going by what it says on the government website:
"You do not have to follow a legal process to start using a new name. But you might need a ‘deed poll’ to apply for or to change official documents like your passport or driving licence."
but I'm not an expert, unlike the government who probably are
also, I'm not sure you read that page you quoted properly...the enrolment of deed poll is a separate thing to the deed poll. There's no requirement to enrol it, but you may need a deed poll document to get official document

Yes that, that's exactly it.
I’m not an expert, unlike the government who probably are
Are you taking about the civil service or the politicians??
Are you taking about the civil service or the politicians??
It has always been an important distinction to make, now more than ever.
Civil servants, obvs!
It’s just a shame he wasn’t actually burnt to death.
Serious answer to why journos all mention his real name, assuming it was a serious question...
When someone is covered in a legal context, which he has been several times, it's imperative to include their legal name.
And in ongoing stories it's important to make clear to the reader that we're still talking about the same Tommy Robinson.
Plus it just gives a nice extra measure of the man.
we’re still talking about the same Tommy Robinson.
So it's not the same bloke who released 'Glad to be Gay' and '2-4-6-8 Motorway' then?
Now that would be a story.

It does. It makes me fink "that doesn't make any sense". But still, a think is a think.
He cant speak Spanish and neither can his family. But he feels unsafe in his own country so has moved somewhere he can feel safer.... and get a house to live in..... and put his kids in school. The irony is overwhelming isn't it?
