Latest model Berlingo, Rifter, Combo, Doblo or Proace drivers, do you have parking sensors AND a towbar?

If so do you have a flange type towbar? Does it trigger the parking sensors when NOT towing?

I think I want a flange towbar, but not if it messes with the sensors. Reassure me!

Rifter with a flange tow bar and I think importantly the CAMS wiring in the towbar. When not towing parking sensors work perfectly. When towing they are disabled.

Jet washing the parking sensors however really messes them up. ( Although a hair dryer eventually solves the issue)

Thanks @Wally , I have bought the specific Can-Bus kit for the vehicle from PFJones. I haven't bought the towbar yet as I am overthinking it.

I will fit it all myself and get the vehicle coded to recognise the wiring kit.

All I need now to complete my 18650 DIY LED light is some sort of 4 battery holder.. Bravo TW, always more interesting doing it yourself. If only someone could send me a really good guide how to replace the rear brake cable on my Giant Trance E+0 with the Yamaha syncdrive  2 motor, swinging down the motor. Lots of wires and bolts - like you probably overthinking it over a cuppa.

Swan neck type on our Rifter.
Works when it should and not then it shouldn't.

@Wally - I've been using a 'Trustfire EB02 battery box' for that purpose.

https://www.trustfire.com/products/trustfire-eb02-battery-box

the caveat is that it does rattle a bit so i've had to wrap a bit of electrical tape round the cells here and there.  I then keep it in an old sunglasses case which happens to fit quite well in a bottle cage but you could get something similar like one of the Carnac bottle-cage cases.

P.S. Sorry - nothing to add ref: towbar electricals!
