A little science. Ivermectin works it’s magic by many means, and in SARS-CoV-2 it blocks transport of some of the proteins to assemble the virus. That reduces the potential for replication. Medicines work by being potent at what they do - it’s why the dose is milligrams not kilos. There is one drug we take in gram quantities (ethanol).
Tests in a dish show you can reduce viral replication with ivermectin. But it’s not potent and you will need many grams to see an effect. Such large doses may be toxic. But there is a hypothesis to be tested at lower doses. See hydroxychloroquine for the same problem. Not all chemicals that work in a dish can be medicines. Sorry.
When you see MICRO-molar concentrations there is a name for those drugs. We call them tool compounds. That’s ivermectin.
