We don't have curtains in the bedroom, only roller blinds. But even though they are blackout fabric they still obviously let loads of light in round the edges.
So I'm looking for proper blackout blinds where the side of the blind sits in a channel.

Anyone got any experience of these or similar?
I am sure they will be great - we already had blackout blinds though so we botched up something similar using plastic angle trim.
We have similar on velux windows and they work a treat.
We have Roman blinds with blackout material in our bedroom - they don't have channels but compared to roller blinds they sit closer to the window and the edges touch the walls of the window frame so they are very effective (missus sometimes works nights so good blackouts are very useful).
We also have the Velux blackout rollers in the attic that slot into little channels - they are very effective too.
We're not fans of roman blinds (sorry 🙂 ) so looks like the rollers in channels will be a good option.
We have both blackout blinds and blackout curtains in the bedrooms and it really helps. Due to the design of the blinds, there is a slight gap as they are not flush to the window edges due to the handle protruding, so there is a slight bit of light leakage when full sun is shining. Its not far off pitch black, even in the day time. I'm happy.
