How on earth are they going to bring it all to an end in the last episode?
And what the hell am I going to watch when it's finished? 👿

Muppets Treasure Island would be the obviously follow-on
It's become so intense throughout this last series. Seriously one of the best bits of television I've seen in a very long time. It took a while to get going, but definitely deserves a wider audience than it appears to have. They have a lot to tie up in the last hour.
I honestly can't see it all wrapping up in an hour unless Skeleton Island is, in fact, a massive skeleton that comes to life and eats everyone - The End?
I've got last 3 episodes to watch, but agree it's been a good final series. Enjoyed this and Hell on Wheels off Amazon box recently and was sad to see both come to an end this series. Would recommend Hells on Wheels if you liked this.
Ooh! Will give Hell on Wheels a go 🙂

Especially when they've got to fill the quota of 30 mins of monologue 😉
I do enjoy Black Sails, but it's just a bit too talky for me. Serious bonus points for the first keel haul I've ever seen on TV though

So it's worth watching? I watched the first couple of the first series and thought it banal poorly acted dross. Akin to 'Rome' a few years ago. I have heard it gets better.

Yep, that was savage (and very well done) 😯

I did think the 1st few weren't great but it gets much, much better IMO
The action ramps up massively after the first few episodes of season 1, one of the better gems on Amazon Video IMO along with Vikings and Hell On Wheels.
I do like Vikings as well, Queen Lagertha could come and pillage me...
It does get a lot better, I almost gave up after the first few episodes. Once you get to know the motivations behind all the main players it really ramps up. Watching John Silver morph in to Long John Silver has been great.
Vikings is good, but I think it should have finished by now. The second part of series four just dragged on. Apart from Lagertha, I could watch endless series of Lagertha.
Yep, thoroughly enjoying this, Vikings and Hell on Wheels was damn good too!
Just waiting for The Tick now 😉
I do enjoy a bit of Black sails, yeah the keel hauling was savage. But it aint a patch on Legion IMO.
Apart from Lagertha
But question is...
Lagertha, Anne Bonny or Max? 😯

Following the Sagas innit.

Those other two don't even come close to Lagertha
Lagertha every time Ann bonny needs a wash and max's boreing monotone would drive me nuts.
Following the Sagas innit.
I know, but it just feels like it has run its course 🙁
Started watching Hell On Wheels last night. Thanks for the recommendation. Seems like it might be good.
Yeah really enjoy Black Sails. Production has seriously bumped up for this series. Not quite sure how the last episode is going to go.
I like how it's got real historical pirates in it.
Hell on Wheels is pretty good, though it did lose it's way towards the end I think. Is Frontier on Netflix worth a watch? I still haven't watched Deadwood either.
Vikings is great, echo the above that it sort of dragged on but it looks to be gearing up for the next series - The Vikings surely in line to get a kicking soon??
Oh and, Lagertha all the way.
Black Sails has been a revelation IMHO. Worried when I first saw Michael Bay attached to it but its been very good. Vikings is equally good but needs to have a planned end in sight. Lagertha all day long. I've seen her in other stuff and she's still splendid but dressed in Viking gear and slicing people in half is where she's most desirable 🙂
Hell on Wheels I need to watch again. Watched first two seasons on TMC years ago and was very good. Man in the High Castle is good too but can be a little slow.

You need to go read up on some English history 🙂
Hopefully Ivar and The Great Heathen Army make for a good story

I know, it was said in jest. Looking forward to the next series for sure.
Yeah right, Saint Edmund is turing in his grave 😉
I think the current issue with Vikings is that the best character is gone 🙁 at least with Black Sails there are still a few left to root for.
Black Sails Treasure Island in 10 years time?
Episode 7 tonight, highlight of the series so far is Jack doing an impression of Max
What a great end to an underrated classic. Really enjoyed the final episode tonight. Whoever recommended Hell On Wheels, cheers. It's filled the Black Sails niche for me. Not quite as good, but still very good 🙂
Cracking series and the ending was pretty decent. I'm going to miss this one.
Yep, great last episode and nice to see they didn't kill anyone off. I was expecting a massive battle with only a few survivors but that was great!
Best give Hell on Wheels a looky now...
Loved the series and the happy ending was quite refreshing especially having watched Logan a couple of days ago!
One thing puzzled me though, why was Billy marooned on treasure island, isn't it Ben Gunn who is found there the in the book and Billy bones plays an earlier role at the inn ( going to re read shortly)
