absolutely cracking price for a great turbo. Pretty much confirms though that Neo 3 (and probably new generation smart bike) is just around the corner!

It isn't that good tbh as the Special Edition Neo is a mix of V1 ad V2 parts. I bought one a year ago for the same price and whilst it's still a good trainer, it isn't as good as the regular Tacx Neo v2.

There is a relatively new Tacx bike with some additional smart features but , it didn't get many good reviews and the cost has rocketed. I now have the first Tacx bike and it does all I need, although it still wasn't especially cheap

fair enough, didn’t realise that! That said tho, I spent almost double on the original Neo when it first came out, still using it & have had zero complaints!

(Also didn’t realise an updated bike was out. I am so out of the loop 😂 <heads off to DCR>)

Just ordered 2 x WTB Raddlers from CRC @ £17 each. No idea if it's BF deal, but were mentioned on the gravel tyres thread. Bonus was remembering to check Quidco account where I had £21 waiting to claim, so a net spend of £13 😁

Not seen much this year, did buy a blink video door bell from the 'zon on Friday. Went for the one without the sync module and it was rubbish.
Easy set up etc but without being able to live view it just felt like something from the early 2000's

Sent it back today and ordered another withe sync module and free Alexa speaker (didn't spot that off er on original order!)

Will give it a go tomorrow when it arrives but if it's as bad as the other it will be going back too.

Not the best BF ever, the bargains don't seem to be there this year

anyone seen any good deals on sony cans ? Specifically the WH-1000XM4s ?

I/work bought a set end of last month.

What i see is that argos are going to put them on sale in black friday - that is they have increased from 249.99 last month to 279.99 .....

Everywhere else has held fast at 249.99.

great noise cancelling and conferancing phones though for noisy open plan offices.....

Haha, I would probably have got a pair of those if I hadn't recently picked up some Superstar wheels for £125.

Oh well 😀

I've probably said this on several years' BF threads now, but I had advance sight of Amazon's BF list about 5 or 6 years ago for work purposes.

I was initially all excited and getting ready to bag some bargains, but it was almost all non-deals on poorly reviewed or old dross. Supporting the research that BBC story mentions.

At least we can tell what's a deal or not when it comes to cycling stuff.

BF deals only work for me if it’s something you were going to buy anyway.

That stif deal looks bonkers. Bottom fallen out of the not-electric bike market?

Shifting of previous model stock by the look of it (remember Stif is Jungle too so the SC distributor).  Good deals if you're after 27.5 both ends.

Magura MT5s at R2 Bike - should work out at about £95 landed.

There's also Code RSCs for €210 which should still work out cheapish with VAT and duty added.

I started looking yesterday for something similar for running and found The Best Running Headphones among other articles. Main criteria for me is waterproof, decent sound quality and optional noise cancelling. Capping my spend at £100 so the Jabra Elite 4 Active are now heading the shortlist... and these peeps rate them:

Never heard of ESC, but this chap reckons the sound quality isn't great (which is of course very subjective):

Not sure what your point is, but I shopped on there and it was items in a clearance, with lowered prices, with an additional 70% off the lowered price with a code (discount went from 50% a few days before). So, as the post I quoted, we could tell it was actual low prices for the Black Friday sale.

I think those 27.5" deals show just how dead that market is. Chain reaction have 40% off the 27.5" Nukeproofs and Stanton had all theirs reduced too. Similar deals just aren't there on 29ers.

The new Shimano Ultegra 8170 and Dura-Ace 9270 wheels have between 40 and 50% off on Chain Reaction. Oddly, just the individual wheels rather than the wheel sets. I just bought the Ultegra pair for near enough half price.

Shame the bike to put them on won’t be here till the new year, but oh well.

Nobody ever buys anything full price from Opie though! Their ebay shop is usually priced the same as their main shop with the 20% off. Still usually good prices.

Yep, I picked up a high end carbon rear wheel for £200 earlier this year, the same item for 29er was £600 IIRC. Not even in a sale, that was a permanent knockdown.

Well I've made the decision on the TV. Going to be the Samsung QN90B 65". Did consider the QN95B, which was the same money but at 55" as it has the external box thing, but overall the 90 seems the better spec.

Just now have to find one with actual money off and not one of those pretend deals, where it was a higher price for a month in some small shop in the corner of the back of the beyond.

Ninja have a slightly odd BF thing for fast cookers, if that counts - they're doing some "special edition" stuff cheap, the non-copper coloured version of this is normally £350 or so, it's been out of stock everywhere but got an email today from Ninja saying they've got more, so just placed an order. 🙂

Hopefully Santa Cruz are starting to realise that, but it was probably the smaller front wheels rather than the cheap parts that meant they didn't sell.

The higher-end SC bikes are obvs better value at 50% off.
