Anyone know if The Google are likely to have the Pixel 4a on offer on Black Friday or if they are resolute in their pricing? Obviously things change each year but wondered if anyone knew if Google are likely candidates for reductions?

I would expect so. I think they did last year too.
Would advise caution if buying from Google Store though. Treat it as you would AliExpress or similar, as returns have to be sent to Poland and disappear into a black hole (lots of stuff on Reddit about it).
You can't do chargebacks against Google (well, you can if you want your account closed and any connected hardware to be bricked overnight).
Likely that Currys will price-match any of their deals.
