What are the bivvy bike essentials? Any good budget kit? Cheers.

Ex mod tarp. And bivi bag a decent light weight sleeping bag as a cheap start point. Then decide on back pack frame bag pannier set up that your comfortable with.
First decision: you need to make is Bivvi bag, hooped Bivvi or Tent. Personally I can't handle a open Bivvi bag so I have gone for a light weight tent (weighs less than a Bivvi anyway) but I also have a Snugpac hooped Bivvi
Second decision : how to carry the kit. Frame bags are (for me) the only way to go. AlpKit and Wildkat gear do good ones.
The above link from Flatfish doesn't work (typo in the URL), here's the working one: Bear Bones Thread
Here's what you need....
Cool, cheers! I was thinking of using a back pack, maybe 35 ltr? Keeping it minimalist and light. Ideally using bothies.
If you are using bothies then a lightweight sleeping bag, mat and your cooking stuff is about all you need. Carrying stuff in a backpack tends to be less than ideal (for most folk) but if you have something that size it's a good idea to try it before splashing out on more gear.
Any good budget light weight sleeping bag/mats? Cheers.
