I picked up a DVD for 20p from a charity shop. Man on a Wire. The story of how Phillipe Petit planned and carried out his high wire walk between the Twin Towers in 1974. A fantastic story in it's own right but made more intense with the subsequent history.
I had actually seen it somewhere before a few years back but well worth a second watch.

Without doubt, one of the best documentaries I can remember seeing.
What deadly said.
I remember getting it via my old lovefilm subscription. Brilliant documentary and one of the best heist movies I've ever seen.
I need to rewatch it
Watched it only a couple of days ago when I went through my Movies hard drive.
Brilliant.
Agreed, really good!
It was on the BBC when first broadcast IIRC. More sad than uplifting, which surprised me at the time. Well worth watching. All about the human condition, and how one quite unusual human dealt with it. Or didn’t deal with it, depending on what you take away from it yourself.
full doco is on youtube looks like, will watch it.
Great film. I can also recommend Petit’s book of knots!
It’s on Sky Documentaries channel every few days
It is a wonderful story and a great documentary. Suddenly makes it all seem like a sensible thing to do.
