Anybody use them?
Worth paying for?
Which is the best?
We have a brutally early flight next Sunday and I thought this might ease the pain.
We're off on an early one next Friday, I don't bother with the lounges.
Bag drop the night before, pay for express security and turn up an hour before the flight
A quick cup of tea and it's time to board
I used the Aspire Lounge last year, before a flight to India, and was very pleased with the service and food. There were a few people in the lounge but was still pleasant and quiet. I get entrance to a number of airport lounges, free of charge, through my bank account.
A lottery buy check the frequent flyer forum worse than this place... Personally I just about won't fly without a lounge these days. Too much crap.
Can't do the early bag drop.
kjcc25, would you have paid for the service you did get?
I think it would depend on the airport. Manchester I find is a very pleasant airport and it is quite easy to get away from the crowds. Heathrow I would always use a lounge. Birmingham I don't use a great deal so don't know it very well, but the Aspire lounge is probably the best lounge I've been in and would be very tempted to use it even if I had to pay.
When you consider how much coffees, cakes etc. cost plus a couple of newspapers in the public areas the cost of the lounges doesn't work out too bad plus you usually get free internet in the lounges.
