Lovely chap he sounds too. Got the plug in while he was at it.

Nice work Binners. Where do I get some and will you commission a piece of work that links Art Deco (I agree it's the pinnacle) and pastry products for true greatness!

And for the ignorant (this isn't the Leith Hill pic)

The Chain? The Chain??! They copied the STW Tune Association Thread idea obviously!

(Ok, yes, I know the boring old 6Music version came first really)

I did have a wonder if it was papa lazarou when I turned on and heard mention of the rake, but he's no artist

OK, yes I know it originally started on Radio boring 2 and then moved to tedious 6 music before the Tune Association thread was started!!

but he's no graphics artist.

Other types of artist are available, papa l can confirm which type he is in due course. I'm not normally one for casting nasturtiums.

I don't have the foggiest idea as to what this thread is about. 😕

That said, maccruiskeen's interpretive dance clip is going to give me nightmares.

As an indirect result of binners new found radio celebrity, i've just been transported back to being nine years old whilst singing along to Jolly Roger by Adam and the Ants. Original Pirate Material innit!

Result. 😀

I haven't been on the show in person since May when I was off work. I did have a tea time theme time about a month ago, and I got a mention when they read out my pome (sic) today 🙂

I heard The Streets on the chain but must have zoned out when Binners was on beforehand. As most of the listenership are graphic designers or decorators having yet another coloureriner on there did there didn't attract my attention 😉

Random aside, searching for that image threw up this Rule 34 example:

(And ye gods, there's a series of them)

Jesus the lads living our dreams. We'll have to wittle a small statue of him next and light a candle unslderneath it.

What next? He gets caught in a love triangle with Shirley Manson and Lauren Laverne?

Unfortunately due to an administrative error you've actually got first dibs on Marilyn Manson and Laverne Cox.

Soz.

Sounded like two northern people talking to each other about something. Was it a conversation about whippets? 😉

Off at a slight tangent Bin-Bins...

Well... I think I've got off quite lightly here. 😀

I did go through the horror of listening back to myself last night and saying 'I don't sound like that, do I?!!". Mrs Binners assured me that yes... I do. Apparently I either sound 'too posh' or 'too northern' depending on what part of the country you're from.

I can't really do that Spitfire as a t shirt print chaps, unfortunately. Too many colours. Might have a look at some options though

I ill mail the usual suspects about the Rivi MNPR t shirts to get them back before christmas.

Oo'er

Where you planning to watch the hill climb from this time binners? I'm planning on dragging the kids over but don't fancy the Casual Racism Arms..

Oh... while I'm at it. As already mentioned Its the Rake Hillclimb on Sunday.

I've decided I'm putting this up for grabs. Its a metre wide panoramic print, all framed up. Its the first print of this design. And very nice it looks too.

Print by bin lid, on Flickr

We'll be selling raffle tickets with the race programmes on Sunday. All the money raised is going to Macmillan Cancer Support. We raised a couple of hundred quid last year. Hopefully we'll do better than that this time.

Bregante - I haven't set foot in the Casual Racists Arms this year. For obvious reasons.

We're going to have a gazebo up in the Car Park at the Shoulder of Mutton with the Lancs Road Club boys. So we'll be watching the masochists expire at the top, the nutters. Then giving the framed prints to each category winner. We've had to forsake the traditional pre-race ride, as we'll be a bit busy.

Hopefully I'll see you and a good few others on Sunday

If you've not watched the Hillclimb, it really is worth a trip over. Its a big field this year, with some serious fast boys and girls. Theres going to be some fast times! Forecast is looking good too!
