I just ordered some socks from Bikester. Why? They were cheaper than elsewhere. But I didn't realise that they are shipped from Germany, so I expect I will have to pay a massive extra "Brexit benefit" charge to get my hands on them. Why didn't I read the not-so-small print?
Suppose the charge is more than I want to pay, can I simply refuse to accept them and accept the loss of what I paid already?
M&S next time 🙁
Bikester have a registered office in Manchester apparently. Their t&c’s so they deal with all the import stuff so you just pay the price you see on the website. It just takes a bit longer to arrive as it comes from Europe.
It’s annoying they have a co.uk website address as it makes you just assume they’re fully in the uk. There are a few similar setup companies who don’t actually cover all the tax / duty stuff which is even more annoying.
Nope, it'll be fine. Just received some Fidlock bits from them with no extra charges.
Above the £130 threshold might be another matter (how expensive are the socks?).
OK, thanks - I'll postpone my plan of sawing off my feet to save money ! 🙂
You coulda put this into a well-known search site and you might've saved yourself the worry. I hope you didn't stress for 2 long before starting this thread.

No probs with Bikester. I ordered £500 quids worth of stuff a few weeks back. Came in several packages (from Germany) and none of them had any customs duty or extra to pay. Their returns address is also in the UK
I have no idea why I put 2 instead of "too". None at all.
I think they are excellent
Have ordered a few bits from them, got some gloves on the way now and not had any issues etc.
Good shop to deal with i think
