Nationwide are dicking us around with this years renewal.

To keep the bikes covered away from home means a 6 fold increase in the annual premium.

They will now only insure a bike up to £1000 if it is kep in an out building. This includes our alarmed garage which is integral to the property.

So which companies to look at as alternatives?

Have a look at Fresh Insurance. They're a broker but got us a cracking deal with (I think) Axa on a great policy (I can probably find the policy doc and forward it on if you want)

John Lewis were good for this year, with 5 bikes named on policy with special cycle cover.

I've just renewed my h and c insurance this morning
Went through Adrian flux brokers. Now I've had a couple of break ins(out buildings)
My renewal from m and s was frankly silly, Adrian flux halved the quote. They might be worth a ring....

Home protect for me - brand for one of the bigger companies I think.

Axa Extra via AMEX for me second year running (renewal was cheeky but a new customer quote sorted that).
