Hi all.
I've been trying to think of a decent route I could get my riding group to do as part of a 50th birthday celebration and I have a vague recollection of a route in the (Singletrack) magazine involving a multi day (supported) ride along a mountain pass in Europe that I remember thinking would be ideal for a trip.  My recollection was that it wasn't a technically difficult route but likely dropped into a few bike parks on certain days

All I remember is that it was along a pass used in World War 2(?) and there were many comments about tank and other military installations along the way.

I was probably in hospital after a crash at the time which would put the article at around 5 years ago, but the concussion/morphine did mess my memory up so it may have been before that. My wife also kindly binned all of my back issues at that time as well so I cannot look through to find it anymore.

Sorry to be so vague but does any of the above mean anything to anyone?  I'd love to know if there is a guided route available, or just get hold of the old magazine if possible.

Thanks

Issue 138 has got a Tour de Mont Blanc but it doesn't match your description I don't think.

Thanks all.
Having spent more time than I had available I half think it is this one Singletrack Magazine Issue 123 : Budget Bolognese – Singletrack World Magazine - the Veneto Trail, although from memory that is generally seen as a route that is part of a self supported challenge.

Dolomites perhaps? There's lots of stuff from both world wars there.

It wasn't the one in issue 123. ☹️

Dolomites do feel right though.
