Evening, I appreciate this may draw some negative comments but I have a booking for BPW next weekend and my area is still in tier 3. I am not irresponsible as I have no symptoms or have been no where near someone who is positive. My actual tone has a very low infection rate but the wider area is in tier 3.
Would BPW stop me from turning up as they would have my address details etc and what’s the general opinion on attending whilst in a tier 3 area ?
Been really looking forward to going but indecisive about whether or not I should go.
Happy to be shot down but anyone else in the same boat ?

Have you had a negative test?

Ring them, they will be able to tell you if they’ll let you in.

Don't go. Email them and they will most likely let you move your booking.

Wales’ coronavirus regulations will be amended to prohibit travel to and from tier three areas in England

As from last Friday at 6pm, it's illegal

Negative test only means you are negative at the time of the test - you could catch C19 on the way back from having it and then unwittingly start spreading away merrily. Commonly used Lateral Flow Tests have a very high false negative rate depending on who administers it and are really shouldn’t be thought of as a passport to freedom if negative. In the NHS a lot of staff are doing LFTs twice weekly to reduce the false positive rate and getting a PCR done if positive. In the meantime, all togged up in PPE now even when sharing non-clinical areas for the reasons above. Roll on the vaccine!

We aren't allowed in Wales from T3. I have a caravan, that was only used for 3 months. We're only 65 miles from the ruddy van, but now allowed in.

I think you know the real answer OP, otherwise you'd be checking the .gov websites and calling BPW...

But seeing as we're all going to be vaccinated in ten minutes* and the "I'm alright jack" mentality rules... Just do whatever the **** you like.

*(still Months away)...

I'm sure they'll move your booking if you can't travel. Which you can't.

I had an email from BPW last week about a suspended booking that I’ve got and it was very clear

If your in T3 don’t come and re schedule your booking.

But

You said you hand a booking for next weekend?

Do you mean 12/13th or 19/20th

If 19th 20th then just cross your fingers. The tiers are due for review next week and I know a lot of areas like Manchester are hoping for tier2

They were more than happy to move bookings to whenever or just 'put on hold'

In case you're so inclined, they didn't ask which tier or even which country i came in from last Sat.

Push Up or uplift?
If it's van uplift then you're [ thinking of ] being an utter dick.
If it's push up then not so much.

I couldn't fathom on Saturday how many were doing the uplift van. I even had 2 12 year olds dragging up the climb instead of the van... But, really... a van full of sweaty MTBers from heck knows where... Surely not !

Even if you travel from Tier 2/3 in England to a Tier 1, you are supposed to behave as though you are in your own tier, so I believe. So going to Cornwall from Derbyshire for example, you aren't supposed to be sat in a boozer
