Has anyone used this bus, is it a viable option to get you and a big modern 29er to Glentress area? Plan would be from London on the sleeper. Next morning the bus. Few days riding and repeat in reverse to get home.

Yep. Not had a modern 29er on because ots my commute bus. But there eis ample room.

Be aware not every bus carries bike. Some single deckers do and some of the double deckers. Busy times might make it difficult but you do have the advantage of getting on at the bus station which i would reccommend.

Don't plan on getting the last possible bus or it might all come undone.

Coming back you need to have a fairly clean bike.

Gets the borders busses app. Cheaper tickets and it tells you which busses take bikes.

Do you mean the Borders Buses or the shuttle that used to run from Edinburgh?

I've used it once back from Galashiels and it was fine. There's room for 29ers.

If you get really stuck I might be able to help, I'm halfwayish.

I’m in E BS most days, I regularly see guys getting on the borders bus with full suss mtbs.
regular, but not always, so it’s not always full.
I have spoken to a couple of people and none of them have mentioned any lack of space.
