njee20 stop trying to fight back. Its embarrassing.

Your mistake here is thinking hora is real enough to reply to.
I'm not real. I'm binners alter-ego.

AFAIK Binners has no ego.

I blame the drugs, or lack of them.

One or the other.

Yes, I fear I've been dragged in. I feel dirty. At least it's all bantz and none of it's real. Still wish Hora would just go away though, made up joke or not.

hi. Yesterday you said it was all very real, real people etc. The person you described doesn't sound that real to me. You gave an example to back up what I said. Cheers for that.

I thought Hora was binner's illegitimate love child and current wife, or maybe I'm getting confused with an episode of Jeremy Kyle.

hi. Yesterday you said it was all very real, real people etc.

Dammit, I can't resist, I'm caught in your tractor beam of creepyness. I said:

I don't really get the "none of this is real" thing. I'm sure some people adopt a persona which is genuinely false - making up jobs or whatever, Insert Wit Here appeared to do just that before elaborately scamming folk for a lot of money - but aside from potentially forming an ill judged opinion of people because all you have is a load of text I don't really imagine folk to be markedly different to how they are on here, and still consider this a load of 'real' people.

I did not say "everyone, and everything on here is exactly what it seems". Some folk can't be as retarded in real life as they are on here - case in point! I still maintain though that it's odd to dismiss everything here as "not real". It is real. And I wish you'd **** off. Really.

I've said this before- its an internet forum. People lie, act up, have fun etc or threaten others as its not in person/business/money or serious.

Away from bike riding and forums life can and is very serious. Its nice to come on here, or down the pub, or woods and just act daft sometimes. Too many people come across as bitter/lifes ground them down types on forums sometimes.

And I wish you'd **** off. Really.

Well you are a bighitter

How is that any different to any other form of social interaction?

Turned out he had Asperger Syndrome. I think some people on Bike Magic booked their place in hell over that.

I've no idea what you look like, what you do for a job, what face you are pulling whilst reading this, what you are really thinking or how good you are on a bike. Any argument we may have you may quickly refer to wiki/any google search to back up your argument. Whatever you tell me I've got to take it as the truth or at face value. Face to face theres no where to hide.

So unless it's face to face it's not real? So if you pick up the phone to someone at work, you perhaps know their job (quite likely not though), you don't know what they look like, what face they are pulling whilst talking to you, what they are really thinking or how good they are on a bike.

Is it not real?

Until I've spoken to you, or met you I've no idea if you are make or female. If I'm dialing a courier company and asking for Jim you can make some basic assumptions. Until I've met you I've no idea if the idea you purport on a forum are your own, etc. Hence why I take forums with a lighthearted approach. Its just fun.

How about if I phone you? By your argument that's not "real" either?

I know what you look like, and my photo has been posted (and Jamie'd) on here before. My job is fairly well documented also. You won't know what I'm "really thinking" face to face unless you're psychic, and my bike skills are a) crap b) broadly irrelevant and c) fairly well known also. So your argument basically boils down to "it's not real because he might be looking stuff up," which is a bit odd.

If the only way interaction is "real" to you is face to face, I can only conclude that you're either on the Asperger's scale or a sociopath.

I guess it's just having an appreciation that not all people see it that way. From just a quick scan of current threads that should be pretty obvious.

Agreed. There's a difference between fun and reality though. You've said they're not real. It's a strange choice of words, and one you've used repeatedly. Clearly you're blind to your own stupidity.

What's even more odd is that someone who works in recruitment for "Purchasing & Supply" probably spends a lot of time talking on the phone to folk he doesn't know the first thing about 😕

His last post was the back end of last year and I found a post from earlier saying that he was going to Russia in December and asking about Visas. I guess that's where he is, then.

Pedalthread...VERY Pre hack he posted an inbred "with a bit of thread on the fork to measure travel" every.pigging.day. for months. The prawn,TJ,TSY. I miss them, The easy thing to do was just ignore them if you wanted.Like a lot of the posters on here I have had a ban, mine was for creating a character called randompedantry and following TJ around. (he was in on it) I literaly got nothing done in the week before the mods twigged. I got a weekend and Randompedantry got a 1000 years (about 997 to go)

I don't really want to get bogged down with this, so this is the last I'll say on it.

Lighthearted is fine, I do the same myself usually. You have to take what's written, well, anywhere on the Internet with a pinch of salt. That's a fairly sensible, healthy approach.

But to dismiss what you / others write as "it's only the Internet, it's not real" is bogus. You're still interacting with real people with real feelings, opinions and emotions. Sure, they might not be revealing their hand to people they don't know that well, or trying to project the persona that they want people to see, but they're still people. We're not all a bunch of Eliza programs and NPCs.

It's not clear to me whether you're asserting the former or the latter, TBH.

Cougar I don't dismiss everything. I take posters with a pinch of salt unless I've met them. Some are great people. Some have disturbed me, hence why I treat anyone I don't know as bogus until proven otherwise.

I remember one lad used to shout at female walkers and on the odd occasion I saw him- had an odd way about him when around females in general (barely concealed anger) is the best way to describe it.

I dont conceal anything about myself- I act goofy alot, but in real life I'm tight with money but generous with time.

Ah, that's right; there was a forum member here for a while called random something or other.I got the idea from him. I understand that you will have a list of the "baned" but I like the idea of a spreadsheet with them all counting down the length of the ban.

Hora, Njee20, in "Big hitters, be hitting" shocker!
You should soon receive that feeling of having your heads knocked together. Or at least being temporarily dispossessed of your ability to continue, pointlessly bickering.

Stop it!
