There is a new company offering Nespresso compatible capsules:

Has anyone tried these and are they any good?
Thanks

Price is from 23p to 29p each - having had a quick scan. Compared to Nespresso ones that's not a massive saving, around £6 on 200 capsules. Having tried other capsules for Nespresso machines, they never quite perform that well (Fine Coffee Co.), don't fit (casino ones) or don't taste as good.

I'd be interested in what other's experience of these are btw.

yep. please report back if you get them. I have tried two alternative compatible capsules before. One felt like it was damaging the machine, the other had rather poor coffee. And that saving is a bit lame.

Sainsbury's by any chance? I bought some last week to try and they don't fit right, they don't taste anywhere near as nice as nespresso and I won't be buying again.

Having looked at the big cup little cup capsules they look exactly the same as the sainsbury's ones so I would give them a miss.

Ok - update

The BCLC ones are not too bad - ordered 3 types and tried 2 so far.
They work well in my Krups machine and the coffee isn't bad. Certainly better than the previous compatible pods I've tried.

the major downsides are the need for individual foil packs around each, the lack of easy recycling options and the increase in storage space needed compared with storing the nespresso pods.

If the prices came down further and the delivery was free at £30 rather than £50 for an order, I'd definitely use them.

Interesting, I guess more people who enter the market will mean that more people enter the market, so hopefully a supplier will be along soon to challenge the Nespress pods, price and quality......time will tell?

I got some last week - nice coffee, all the pods have worked perfectly so far (I've also had frustrating experiences with other non-Nespresso pods) but as has already been said, you need to spend £50 for free delivery.
which is a bit high.

I got some pods from Whittards a while back (Elephant Expresso or something) and they were the best yet. Really lovely coffee.
