I fly out to California on Wednesday for a month of bicycle touring. I need some insurance.

It’s been years since I last shopped for any, so any recommendations would be welcome

I used Virgin, no restrictions on dirt roads or altitude.

I went bikepacking for a week in SoCal in May. Used InsureAndGo following a recommendation on some bike touring blog as despite being fairly "basic", bike touring is explicitly covered. Mine was £45.

Dog Tag.
Great website that really understands the sorts of riding you will do, and so you don't pay for gnar you're not doing.

I had to buy insurance for a European family touring holiday this summer, so I had a look at Money Saving Expert and their cheapest recommendation was Leisure Guard (might be different now). I had to select a specific Type C add-on for cycle touring when ordering online. I don't know if they are any good, because fortunately I didn't have to make any claims, but it was pretty cheap; £25 for 4 people.
