This will be the nearest place to us when we go camping next week, any recommendations for decent fare in the vicinity, i do seem to recall there being a couple of places down in Trefriw?

Betws has the nice pub right in the middle that has never failed me when I've been in the area. Quite a few pubs along the A5 as well that look nice.

Ty Gwyn. Best in town, and probably in North Wales. At least...

Glan Aber Hotel does nice food, then there is the pub attached to the Stables further up the road past the Cotswold Outdoor shop which is good too. Loads of decent places to eat there.

Was there last year and it was excellent - you will need to book in advance though.

It looks like a pub but there really isn't any bar area (even for residents)- its pretty much a restaurant.

Ty Gwyn was very nice last year and The Stables was cheap and cheerful.

I was down there at the weekend and had a superb breakfast at this place.
