The pussy cat is on its way out, it goes limp now and again and poos on the carpet, the vet's asking £600 to fix. So thinking it’s time to get rid. Aside from the poo issue, its a good reliable pussy, with at least 12 months left to live.

I’m not one to pull the wool over a potential buyers eyes, and understand it might not be worth too much as it stands. But wondering what the best way of selling it would be. Options…

1.Sign in the window, hope of the best. Guess I could do this anyway, while deciding.

2.gumtree.

3.Ebay.

4.Local cat auction place.

5.pussytrader.

6.others?

Any info would be welcome.

I know that in classic STW fashion I’m ignoring your actual question but if it were mine I’d fix it if I reckoned I’d get another year out of it without anything much else going wrong. It’s not worth much anyway and it’s a known quantity. Older cats are always a bit of a gamble but unless you replace it with new or in warranty you’ll always be taking a bit of a punt.

What about a cut-and-shut with a dog with a working rear end?  Front half cat, rear half great dane. Would like like one of them awesome dragsters will bit wheels at the back.

You could bring it back to life as a zombie cat like the Mountain on GOT

You probably won't get much interest in it if it's an older model. It's the emissions you see.

Try here

If you freshen it up , the new owner might not notice for 6 months and then you should be in the clear legally, reasonable expectations/ knowledge and all that

I will wait another couple of months until it starts missing the litter tray and is pissing up the wall ..for the price to come down ..or you could try swapping it for a dog ..isnt that known as a catalytic converter...

Trouble is at that age, their condition goes quickly and their coat gives them away.

Have you thought about shaving it, and passing it off as a some exotic young asian specialist pussy?

Tighten the collar on the cat. That should help with any head gasket issues. When was the oil last changed? Don't forget to use the correct grade of organic fish oil, none of that cheap mackerel oil from your local Halibutfords. If you spill any oil while putting it into the cat you can use cat litter to soak up, not sure if you have that?

If it's a ginger cat, Donald Trump could do with a new hairpiece...

£600 isn't catastrophic I'd think about repair.

A De-cat may actually make emissions worse and it's not strictly legal.

If it's cataclysmic, give it a catatonic. It will be cathartic.

Are you sure it's a cat?
