Speed more important than cost. Preferably not a bus, but if it's much quicker it'll do.
Train from Queen Street to Haymarket. Tram from Haymarket to the Airport.
if time is a massive factor
Taxi from Glasgow.
If speed is of ultimate importance and cost not important then just get a taxi?
If not, assuming you're in Glasgow city centre jump on train, get off at haymarket, get tram or bus directly to airport from just outside station.
Note, from 20th March disruption from Glasgow Queen Street:

Where in Glasgow?
AFAIK there is no bus service direct from Glasgow to Ed Airport.
If you are Glasgow city centre then Train to Edinburgh then tram (or Bus). to airport. if it is after 20th March - beware of engineering work.
OR
Get the CityLink bus service to Near the airport and "walk" the last bit. (You can probably get off the coach and get on a local bus/tram somewhere convenient).
If it is Glasgow Airport you will first need to get a bus from GLA to city centre.
If time is really of the essence, and money is no object then a taxi will cost about £70.
Hire a car, turn out of GLA onto M8 East, get off at EDI. 45mins outside of rush hour or less if you hire an Audi and make progress.
The bus from Buchanan Street bus station is quick, cheap, pleasant and drops you off right at the door of departures.
It's also delayed, and that was a long damp walk with a heavy bag... Grr grump
Glasgow is a big city..., where?
A bit like when folk post up and ask for a restaurant recommendation in London.
Well that was grim. Was within a gnat's chyff of puking up all over the bus.
