Well wrap it in masking tape and use a very fine toothed hacksaw/junior hacksaw blade was how I use to do braided brake hoses on my cars which is the same stuff, I think.

what he said without pipe cutters your only choice is a saw/tape but its not ideal

Ensure you have no burrs afterwards including inside the pipe

How about popping down to the LBS with a pack of biscuits and pleasant word?

The best way without a proper hose saw is to wrap with masking tape as already said but use an angle grinder with a thin cutting disc. The end result is much tidier than using a hack saw 😉

Check they did not go to public school first 😉

I am sure it is tidier but it is it usable?

Masking Tape, Vice, fine pitch (New) hacksaw blade, take your time and let the saw do the work.

If you are in a hurry then, Masking tape and a thin cutting disc in a dremel works brilliantly

Cold chisel, big hammer and something to chop it on(anvil), it's how we used to do all our braided hoses.

+1, but not an angle grinder, use a dremel with a fine cutting disc.
