Any advice on the best tv package to get for Rugby viewing? Mainly a pro14 fan but enjoy super rugby now thats its started, so these would be my priority. Would be keen to also watch champions / challenge cup and the odd aviva game. Done a little homework and it seems that I would need a combination of several packages (Sky with BT sport etc) to achieve this depending on who's won the rights to what and with the Pro 14 now moving to pay per view for next season. What do other people do? Love my rugby but don't want to spend megabucks to watch it, although it seems to be heading that way.

The quality is atrocious though.

What I ended up doing is getting BT Sport for the Premiership and Champions Cup stuff, and when there's internationals such as the autumn tours I pay for Sky, either direct on the TV package or match by match on NowTV (which works about about the same if you buy the vouchers on eBay).

*edit* I was on BT broadband, but though it's not widely advertised, you can get BT Sport for the same price on Plusnet, so essentially I got exactly the same thing for £20 p/m less...

Thanks, although i'd be more interested in primarily viewing Pro14 stuff going forward, I guess that once BBC lose the rights it will only be pay per view as an add on to a Sky package / BT ?

According to this, Pro14 is going to be on "Premier Sports":
