I've just found out i'm going to be in Glasgow tomorrow night. Other than the take that concert that's filled up all the hotels, is there much else on? Any reccomendations?

Oh and the steak, where's good?

I had Rook steaks the other day in Glasgow - they were tastey.

Try this place - Butchers shop. I've eaten there a couple of times and it's the best steak I've found in Glasgow.

Couple of nice bars not too far away on Argyle Street too. Try -
Lebowskis or Brass Monkey. Both regular haunts for post work beers.

If you fancy splashing the cash, Grill On The Corner do a Kobe steak

thanks gang, yet again expert advice from stw ;o)

the butcher shop was great, didn't quite stretch to the t-bone but the rib eye was excellent. If you want the equivalent (arguably the next step up infact) in London, try the Hawksmore!

been meaning to try the Hawksmore several times but have been denied by circumstances every time.

What do people reckon to Gauchos? I ask because there's an offshoot (Cau) opened in Guildford today which will be getting a visit but I've heard mixed things.
