Criteria:

Can hold a camelbak
Doesn't sit 'rounded' on your back like my old camelback did
Doesn't cost circa £70
Is light

I don't care much about 100 pockets, rain cover, helmet holder, etc etc.

Just something thats secure, doesn't ride around my back and is comfy and light.

recommendations?

It even contains a motivational message for those behind you, lagging in your wake of awesomeness 😀

I still like my Deuter Race EXP air, it's got one of those mesh thingies to reduce sweat - not sure it works but it means it does sit well - only problem is it seems to have gone up in price by over 50% in a couple of years. It's also not massive at 12l + 3l.

Osprey venom 13 (same as viper just without the bladder) can be had in Cotswold for £45 and you get discount just for asking in Cotswold.

I swear buy Jansport bags for longevity & comfort. Not neccesarily cheap, but occasionally you can find them in TK max or going cheap online somewhere.

My latest i bought 2nd hand off ebay in 2010, used for general duties & numerous holidays, still going strong.

I'm using this at the moment.

http://www.gaynors.co.uk/products/shop-by-brand/berghaus/rucksacks-travel-bags/details/i/13982-47j33/n/remote-84-rucksack.aspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=productsearch&utm_campaign=productsearch&gclid=CPOWqaPDv70CFRDItAod-jsAMw

I have a Camelbak unbottle in it, there's a slit for the tube to exit, and plenty enough room for tools, tubes, food and layers inside, plus webbing on the outside which can take another layer when you warm up.

The Mammut Neon Lite finally turned up. Its brilliant, as light as a 2lt slim Camelbak yet alot more practical and easy to wear.

Well worth it if you can find it at circa £25.
