Get on ebay and look for Royal Mail waterproof trousers or DPM military stuff. It's the cheapest and most rugged Goretex stuff you will get. My Royal mail trou are 4 years old and I wear them every day in the winter months working outside. Even barbed wire fences havent tore them.
