What experiences/recommendations do any of you have regarding rugged protection for iPad. The main contenders from Amazon seem to be:
- griffin survivor
- otterbox
- gumdrop
I have a simple Invision cover currently and now a cracked screen following a small incident involving a 2yr old!!
Thanks for any advice (regarding the case that is - rather than the issue if leaving your ipad within reach of the children!)
I've got this one:

The video showing the bowling-ball test is pretty convincing!!
Griffin Survivor on an iPad mini here and its been very good.
Coincidentally, I've got a BNIB one for iPad 2/3 (GB02480) which I bought for an iPad 1 (doesn't fit) which you can have for £15 posted if your interested,

edit: oh and be careful where you buy one from, there are a lot of fakes about.
Geoffj - thanks for that. I have an iPad4 so I think I'd need the GB35108 instead - although compatibility info is a bit vague
not quite the same but similar... i have otterbox cases for my iphone and i love them. use a reflex day to day, and an armour when i'm at the beach or in the workshop. really well made, fit beautifully, i rate them.
the armour has actually made me money. a few times now i've been in the workshop, posted pics of what i'm doing, and had orders come in for the pieces. could'nt do that before as my phone would be trashed.
Gav - Thanks for the info. How do you find the screen protection on the more rugged if the otterboxes? I've seen reviews complain that it's a big compromise on screen image quality. Is that so?
jdh - no worries
My current case didn't quite provide the protection needed for an impact along the side of the glass:

I ordered 15 Ipads complete with Otterbox cases a year ago for use by colleagues out on site most days. 1 year in and we havent had one single damaged Ipad. Very tough case, would recommend.
Otterbox now on order. Thanks for your help.
