Just been out in my gore waterproof trousers and berghaus coat in this torrential rain and they don't seem as waterproof as they once were.Would treating them in one of the products you can buy help,or is it once they start to let water in they are coming to the end?

Nikwax tech wash then nikwax TC Direct wash in.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nikwax-Direct-Clean-Proof-Value/dp/B001RE3FSW/ref=sr_1_1?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1379420677&sr=1-1&keywords=nikwax

depends if the seams have gone or not?

Agree with Nikwax generally, I prefer the spray on proofer to the wash in, though. I have found that the wash in compromises breathability over time. My girlfriend worked in outdoor shops for years and all the reps visiting for demoes said the same. Seems to build up over time.

You can definitely bring them back to life though, should be near good as new if washed and reproofed properly.
