I'm 32. That's my son. He's claiming that as 'ours' now.

Please tell me you bought it yourself, otherwise it seems massively unfair that wives that understanding really exist...

Last Christmas my son and I got the Lego campervan as a joint present - lots of quality father/son time building it.

ah, i genuinely thought that was a picture taken from original marketing materials - Glib 'STW style' comment FAIL! 😳

He's claiming that as 'ours' now
- only if he can build it without assistance....

I'm afraid my wife bought it for me, and my eldest hid it under his bed all week, and gave it to me at 6:30 yesterday morning whilst I was in bed 🙂

Lego is **** brilliant. 😀

I got a massive Lego Space Shuttle from my wife for my 33rd birthday. It took two evenings to complete it. My boy ain't getting anywhere near that set until he's got a mortgage or a PhD or something.

My old trials gloves. Never worn since 1980 something. Didn't know where they were till I opened a Xmas pressie off my Mrs, 2 years ago.

I suppose the slight advantage to being 40 is that I can* buy my own Lego.

* if my wife and daughters allow me to 🙁

Mrs. stavro got me a trial light aircraft flight for crimbo 7 years ago. What a buzz, the only way I can descibe it, is trying to sail a dinghy, ride a bike and push a Morrison's trolley at the same time

When i was young I used to start with the small presents and build up to the big ones. One year I was left with a large rectangular present that I thought was either a boardgame or a jigsaw puzzle. Imagine my dissapointment when I unwrapped it to find a 750g box of Kellogs Crunchy Nut Cornflakes!
I could have avoided this letdown if I had looked at my little brothers pile. He had already opened a box of Frosties. True story.

I was trying to remember where I'd seen those gloves before and it's just come to me - didn't they have a starring role in the OJ Simpson trial? 🙂

I am in a similar fortuitous position, that for the last couple of years my wife and kids have bought me technic lego sets for birthday and christmas - I now have the motorised recovery truck, the fighter jet and dune buggy. Great family time jointly building them, although it is clear they are MINE!

Indeed the best presents ever... (oh and happy birthday!)
