My wife is thinking about selling a bling Omega that she inherited a few years ago and so is just going to take it to some local jewellers. Is there anything better she could do? Auctions, specialists sites, bike forums?
You could post a stealth ad on the main forum to generate interest
The above made me smile
Might be worth speaking to Blowers Watches of Hull
They specialize in that kind of watch
If it's complete with box & papers worth considerably more, I wouldn't bother with any of these skanky watch / pawn shops that have sprung in many city centres.
watchfinder.co.uk
I don't really think it is stealth ad material. It is really quite bling which is why I am a little bit scared of just taking it to a local jewellers. Of course I have some really nice condition 26" frames..... 😀
Watchfinder looks like it could be perfect (commission dependant). Thanks

Your scared to go in and ask for a professional valuation ,is it run by Somali pirates ...
Down the dogs.
What model is the watch?

On the basis of the one valuation she already received, quite possibly, although I believe they run the ethical coffee shop next door.
At auction you'll be looking at a 15-25% sellers premium, and the buyer will also be looking at paying a similar premium , each +VAT, so you won't get near it's true value...
Which model ? Roughly how old? Depending on what it is, I know a quite a few watch enthusiasts, with at least one looking for a women's omega. Pm if I can help.
