I've got Autotrader and Gumtree, and Facebook marketplace if I have to. I'd sooner avoid ebay if I can. Anywhere else I should be putting it?
(Not a stealth ad, genuine question - it's worth peanuts so I'd sooner avoid paying to list it anywhere as I'm a tight Yorkshireman)
Wouldn't bother with autotrader, gumtree and fb marketplace.
Was gonna post this, got a bloody reliable, cavernous civic to sell cheaply, bloody hate selling cars!
Sold my Dads £6k car at the weekend. Autotrader still feels like the grown up option. Facebook and Gumtree for sub £1k though IMHO
Yeah, definitely sub 1k. I may as well stick it on Autotrader as well, I think there's a free listing.
How about webuyanycar if you just want to get rid.
Personally I wouldn't as they give you such a low cost but it's an option.
I put my old Ibiza on ebay for 99p starting price, took a ton of pics & detailed description of everything about it.
It was almost 13yrs with 274000 miles on it & sold for £400.
webuyanycar offered me £140.
Fb or bang an add in it and park it badly on a verge in town..
Turns out the best idea is to offer it to your friendly mechanic, he's having it next week after we pick up the FR-V. Faff: minimised.
Put it on FB Marketplace about 20% more than you want for it and wait for the messages with nothing other than a single number. I don't know why, but it just pisses me off.
I've got my Saab up for £1250, wanting about £1000. Had a few offers of £1000.
But when someone's first message is just "1000", I reply "1 million"
Because you can guarantee getting involved with them will be a catalogue of hassle. Similarly I won't deal with people who message in text speak m8.
Ended up doing a viewing over FB Messenger last night. Guy seemed nice enough - into mountain bikes, bands and Swedish estates. Hopefully appearing on Friday evening with £1100.
