Tonight's discussion is about 2nd hand shops - good shops that consistently have good stock or what's the best find / purchase you've made in a charity shop.
I guess there are some good ones in London, but Keswick has a pretty good Oxfam shop. Apart from the sports goods (crampons, skis, rucksacks and clothing) they also had a fine selection of tea sets, clothes for all ranges, music and books. Also a vintage boxed space Lego set from the 80s.
So lets hear it for all the hidden gems of 2nd hand retailing or stories of good finds.
I bagged a set of speakers for the PC for £5 a few years ago. A quick Google when I got home said they were £80. Bloody load as well.
We had this conversation a short while ago.
For £5 I bought style.
