SO far I have Angry birds, Doodle Jump and a couple others.

What else is worth downlaoding?

If it's a Touch, then an app like Shazam needs 'phones with a microphone, so either get hold of some Apple ones from an iPhone owner who's upgraded, or better still get some 'phones with a mic and remote which will give you better results and sound quality anyway.
Also recommend Redlaser Starwalk and iBooks, plus Stanza and Kindle.

Reeder better than Net news wire (IMHO)

Also: Amazon UK; Soundhound (instead of Shazam - I think it gets results better); Last FM; VLC (plays pretty much any media format - get it soon as rumour has it it will get banned soon); Lightbike; plants vs Zombies
