Loved v1 as it was such an unexpected surprise.

Then loved v2, as it managed to live up to the extraordinary levels of hype.

...and I love cake. There is cake, right?

That reminds me of the robot at the start of robocop (nerds, help me out?)

That didn't end well iirc

It is a superb game. I bought a pre-owned copy a few months back and was playing it non stop up until all the nice weather started. Not played the co-op yet that'll have to wait until autumn.

Absolutely tremendous. Finished 1p in both games, not completed the 2p yet but enjoying it immensely.

So, does one need to have played 1 to enjoy 2?

Enjoy, no. Fully appreciate, yes. But, that's no bad thing.

The first one is on XBLA with bonus levels ("Still Alive") for not much money.

Loved both of them , and also love the National track in the second game. Definately the most original game ever.

You don't need to have played the first one to play the second. However, you'll understand a lot more of the in-jokes that have carried over from the first one.... So i'd suggest you'll get more out of the second having played the first....

You owe it to yourself to play the first one. It's an all-time classic. And it's only a few quid on Steam. And the black humor is timeless:

The Enrichment Center promises to always provide a safe testing environment. In dangerous testing environments, the Enrichment Center promises to always provide useful advice. For instance: the floor here will kill you. Try to avoid it.

Not tried co-op

Co-op is ace. It's a whole separate game, different levels.
