To be honest, I'm not really into the whole dance/nightclub scene music. However, years ago, some mates and I wandered into the Ocean Rooms in Brighton (I worked with them and they all shared a house in Brighton), high on MDMA, and they were playing a break-beat remix of a Public Enemy song (a group I love) and it left a lasting memory. An amazing version of the track.

Does that fulfill the brief?

From various stages of my youth....

Gat Decor - Passion
Pulp - Babies
Greece 2000 - Three Drives on a vinyl
Charlatans - the only one I know

Swaying around with a can of Red Stripe, desperately trying NOT to inhale any smoke from a Marlboro red and generally being a bit of a tit. Happy days.

THE best? 😕

Only one? 😕 😕 😕

That's 100 times worse than asking which bike is best, or if you had 5000 children which one is your favourite, to me...

Argh!!! There are soooooo sooooo many greats.

To start... The Queen of Disco, Donna Summer's I Feel Love, will go down in history as rewriting the rule books and introducing electronica to the masses.

Michael Jackson changed the game in a way never seen before, or since, with Thriller.

Sugar Hill Gang's Rapper's Delight brought Hip Hop to the masses, even if the masses was only the US for many years to come.

Timeless by Goldie brought what was Jungle, and turned into D&B primarily because of his influence, to the masses. Roni Size then catapulted the genre forward again in 97 winning the Mercury Music Prize with Brown Paper Bag.

Derrick May released Strings of Life on the world in 1987, and Techno was effectively born.

Or do you mean the track(s) that has the most meaning to us personally as individuals?

Acperience 1 never ceases to excite me like no other track, but in terms of getting me dancing it'd probably be Jump Around 😆

Others on my short list
FSOL's Papua New Guinea
De'Lacy's Hideaway (Deep Dish mix of course)
Donna Summer I Feel Love
Faithless Insomnia

Actually I could be here all day. Time to turn the decks on

One of the first tracks I can ever remember thinking was awesome.

And, quite possibly the best dance track to come out of the early 21st century hard house scene...

Any doubters, don't make me break my vinyl out of storage!

"dance/nightclub" has to be fairly commercial really, and this has to be the best of the commercial dance tracks, although Anthem is pretty close.

Some good songs mentioned already, Anthem, Man with the Red Face, Born Slippy, Higher State etc.

My vote goes to the mighty Sabres of Paradise - Smokebelch II (David Holmes remix)

Not into Dance/Club per say but gotta say

+1 Insomnia
+1 Born Slippy
+1 Tiesto version of Adagio for Strings

this on hit me out of the blue when THIS video (Whistler Bike Park - Elements of Perfection - Soul) that used Avicii "Levels"

think I'm right in saying that this was a couple of months before the track actually broke in Europe

Hard to pick one. I have been into so many different dance music genres.

Techno
Rave
House
Dubstep

I am 40 now but I am still buying vinyl and love all things dance (and dub, reggae, hiphop......).
