Inspired by the 'is everyone videoing everything now' thread I'm thinking of picking up a cheap action cam, hopefully less than £50. Any recommendations or am I wasting my time at this price point?
Ta.

I'll be adding a Go Pro HD to my stuff for sale this week if you wait. Asking £60 for it or £70 inc memory card.

still on the lookout for one of these, found a local camera shop selling this model from Konig -

Will this do a decent job for £60, or am I better off spending £100 on the bog standard go-pro?

I bought one, looks a lot better than cheapo ones I'd seen previously, but not quite go-pro build quality. Will see how it gets on.

Stevet 1 ive got one branded a rollie 29 quid from Staples also available from Argos.

Great pictures, great camera, , but y7ou may have to reset it by inserting needle in small hole in base, make sure you charge it up fully before use, longish battery life, crap handlebar mount mine snapped off at pivot.

I have been using my sj4000 for the last week or so. Gonna try it out for what I intended (Videoing the daughter rock climbing) tonight.

Was at a wedding at Lake Garda last weekend and it did as good a job as the wifes iphone did on stills and the videos were acceptable in a kinda 1st person close up way.

Quality is fine and now that I understand how to use the software for the ipad I am getting along fine with it.

As it matches the gopro I can use any of the accessories on ebay of which there are loads.

I went for the wifi version but the non wifi version sells for unde £50

The Hero is a pretty safe bet - http://www.unsponsored.co.uk/press/gopro-hero-review/

Not bad images and videos for a unit less than £100. More than your budget though.

Saw these Mycrocam things at the big model making exhibition at Harrogate back in May.

Bit over the OPs budget but picture quality looked decent for something so small/light (I've seen bigger car keys/~16 grams).

I always say SJ4000 to this, because I have one and I like it.
