off tomorrow for a week in Berlin and my [s]handy[/s] phone is playing up..... can't bear the thought of being alone in my hotel room without any [s]porn[/s] STW....

please recommend me a decent budget tablet for around 200quid/260€....

purely surfing, watching videos and listening to music...

shops close in two hours!

cheers!

Linx Windows 10 tablets look good to me. Full Windows 10 and only £90. Get yourself down to Saturn.

EDIT hmm, might be called Kiano in Germany, might be the same, might not be.

Decent spec for £119 at Tesco Direct

MicroSD slot.

Edit- sorry, just noticed too late for next day collection. Maybe some of the larger Tescos will stock in store?

I'd look for a Lenovo Yoga.

Or the Samsung Galaxy Tab A is not bad, though fairly low res screen.

I'd go for a reputable make that seems snappy in use and has a decent screen. Doesn't really matter which one tbh.

Pretty happy with my LG G Pad 8.3.

I've had a fiddle with the newer version and it seems pretty good, although build quality doesn't seem quite as good. Think they can be had for around £150.

Asus ZenPad S8 seems OK and has a decent screen for all that high res action...

STOP PRESS.....

today is fashing.... whatever the f+** that is.... it seems like it is a day on which ordinary members of society lose all self-respect and walk around in public looking like 8 year olds on their way to a fancy dress party....

as such all shops closed at 12 today. as i was working tody i was unaware of this.

will try at the airtport tomorrow....

Wouldn't it be cheaper to invite a STWer along for the trip. No need to recharge and lasts all day (you can even put them under your pillow)

Had an Asus transformer thing.. It was ok but died. So did a bit of research and replaced with Galaxy Tab A and it is great, way better than the last.

I recently got an nvidia sheild tablet. Don't know how available it'll be at an airport however I've been impressed with it so far. It has a mini hdmi output in addition to the micro USB which makes it very handy for storing some films on then Playing them back on a larger screen in a hotel room or such like.
