Pendeen is a long way from malvern.
I managed to buy two Kane flue gas analysers at the Pughs auctions in Ledbury for £8 last year. One was dead but the other has been fine since a £150 service and calibration. £400 new.
I got a plastic sextant (I think it's for training). I'm keeping it for when GPS falls out of the sky.
My Dad once carved me a huge phalus as a joke.
Must have been 14" long. Was meant to be a kit hanger.
I sold that to a lady at Cannock car boot sale.
I often wondered if... 😳
Folding, walnut cased, inlaid veneer travel chess set
Brand new Lifeproof iPhone case.
4 quid total and zero donuts consumed. Always quit while ahead...
That skateboard find must've made you grin like a loon
Raleigh burner (the blue and yellow one) for a fiver.
A pair of Rockshock Judy's for a tenner. Quick wipe over and some air and they did the rounds on many hacks for well over 5 years.
A spanking new pair of Shimano DX pedals for £5. Still running them 10 years later.
Best thing I've ever found at a boot sale is the butty van!
I got me a BBB track pump for £8 on sunday. still had tags on.
I found an old Leica film camera at a car boot sale in Kamloops in Canada last summer for $10. When I at the boot sale I was thinking hmmm Leica, I know they are expensive, went home and looked them up and nearly shit my pants... they were all prices between £1000-2000!!!!!
I eventually sold it to a Leica specialist in London for £880 with a lens and case (needed a refurbishment)
was one of these http://www.ebay.com/bhp/leica-m4-p
I also found some RAD fluro old sunnies at the same car boot sale for $4 which again when I have looked them up are around £80
These... little bit of a scary photo
As a photographer that Leica find makes me grin. As an inveterate bargain hunter it makes me greeeeen
Found me a nice little Spesh Hotrock last time I visited one.
£25 secured it and 30 minutes tinkering got it fully operational.
Sold for £107 on eBay the following week. Not quite in the same league as the Leice, but it made me happy!
Also got a very useful Chain Reaction wheel bag for £3 on the same day
My old dear picked up a brooch for £1.50 at a car boot sale. Turned out to be white gold and diamonds... valued at £2k.

To be fair, I just saw the Jay Adams name and bought it, then googled it later 🙂
My 4 year old now has a very nice board!
A tidy set of Gray Nicholls Pads and a G&M bat from a mother rather annoyed with her son
got them both for £4, worth well over £200 and pretty much brand new
never got on with that bat though and sold it to a teammate

Reading other posts on here I was wondering whether I was missing out having never visited one - thanks for confirming my prejudice!
Few years back got an original 60s mint copy of the Rolling Stones "Let it Bleed" for £1. Don't know or care if it's valuable, but its a lovely thing.
Also, with my kid, bought a couple of original toy Transformers for 50p each. We had no idea that they would be valuable (it was long before the film was made), so only bought 2 from this kid's collection of about 10. Gutted, they would have been worth a fortune!
My old camping kettle and nested set of pans
I bought them 30 years ago (Gulp)
The frying pan is still non stick despite being used on fires and with metal implements
paid a pound for both 🙂
Does a £3 back wheel count? Campagnolo Record hub, Mavic MA40 rim and Maillard block. Needed a new tyre though.
