I met up with Bernard when I managed to persuade the company I worked for to sponsor one of the holes on his charity golf day.. Came across as a nice, down to earth sort of man.  During the actual event he worked tirelessly to keep everyone happy.

RIP.

Every time I watched Bernard Cribbins I automatically thought of the Hornby adverts from my childhood.

Brilliant @ scuttler

Absolute legend, brilliant story teller. If you have young kids get the Winnie the Pooh story CD (unabridged) it is wonderful. I am well practiced and can tell a good story but there are levels! and he was absolutely at the pinnacle.

He was still doing stuff when my kids were little. Always seemed warm and relaxed seemed to have a calming aura.

Oh no

I remember knocking this up in photoshop a few years ago, though I've absolutely no idea why

R.I.P.
He was a huge part of my childhood.
'Hole in the ground' and 'Right said Fred', were songs I heard a lot on Ed'Stewpot'Stewpot's 'Junior choice' programme on the wireless.
Very versatile actor and great with voices.

sponsor one of the holes on his charity golf day..

Seems appropriate.

Hole in the Ground and Right Said Fred were huge favourites when I was little.

He was a huge part of my childhood.

He was working when my father was a child, and when my kids were smaller - 6 or 7 years ago. He's been a part of everyone's childhood.

RIP.

Didn’t he narrate the Wimbledon as well. And he was in the Railway Children. And some Carry On films.

That’s not a bad palmarès

Me too, and I had no idea it was him singing Right Said Fred 🙄 RIP Mr Cribbins.
