i go into Leeds most saturdays for a pint or two, with my good lady.
where we catch this bus to come home, there is a tesco express, with a cashpoint outside.
every single saturday, without fail, there is a begger/homeless person sat on the pavement, at the side of the cashpoint, with a cup at their feet.
today my bus was delayed 45 minutes., i sat in the shelter and watched the amount of cash thrown in the cup. a fair bit.
in the 45 minutes, there were 3 seperate beggers in the spot.
while the 1st one was sat there, a van pulled up, and a lady got out and brought him a takeaway food parcel. from a charity. he took it and put it to one side. after 10 minutes he got up, and left the unopened food parcel on the pavement. he took his cash pot.
within 5 minutes another begger filled his spot. in the next 10 minutes, he was bought coffee, a mcdonalds, and a sandwich. all were pushed to one side and left untouched. he got up and left after a pcso walked up.
after about 5 minutes a third bloke wrapped in a quilt sat down in the same spot. and withing abot 2 minutes a woman brought a sandwich and drink to him. he took it and threw it to one side, while she was still there. he then shouted to her 'give me some money, not food. i dont need food'.
i was a bit shocked, as were the folk in the bus queue.
my question is, should these scrounging lazy scumbag bastards be lined up against a wall and shot?
for scrounging and draining the system.
pure and simple wastes of humanity. imho that is.
