Ok so as a long term IPA and stout lover I was seduced by a bottle of wheatbeer in this morning's Lidl raid. It's in the kitchen now, looking tasty and if it cuts the mustard I may get a few more in over Chrimbo.
So my question is, what sort of temperature should I drink it at? Cold, cool or room temp?
Cold, cool at most
Any beer I drink at home is kept in the fridge then goes in the freezer for about 30mins before I drink it.
Whisky is kept in the freezer and drunk neat.
To answer your question: cold
A good rule of thumb is that abv% = temp in C
So you should be around 5c?
Try neat, then with a hint of lemon then try lime (my fav).
If it’s a cloudy wheat beer then it needs to be cold served in a glass from the freezer - it can be lively. If you’re not used to it and drink too much it can have an unfortunate effect on your digestion, at altitude a very unfortunate effect! Enjoy though.
